Riversmeet sits perched above the confluence of two magnificent waterways – the Hudson and the Roeliff Jansen Kill. Looking West, you have sweeping, unobstructed views of the Catskill Mountains and their renowned sunsets. Looking North, due to the unique setting of the home, you’ll encounter one of the rarest views in the Hudson Valley – a sightline of the river winding away for miles and miles into the horizon, framed by the distant Rip Van Winkle Bridge.

The Home
The interiors at Riversmeet complement the exceptional landscape surrounding it and were carefully envisioned by the brilliant designer Louise Copeland. The main living space is lined with floor-to-ceiling windows with Hudson River views, filling the home with golden light every day as the evening sets in. A large mudroom with built in shelves, a powder room lined with Peter Fasano grasscloth wallpaper, and a finished garage/gym/studio complete the first floor. Each space is adorned with charming details, from the Waterworks bath fixtures, to the custom millwork and cabinetry, and the impeccably curated lighting, all grounded by various slate, stone, and wood floors.

On the second floor are the home’s two large bedroom suites, each with unique views of the twelve-acre property. The primary bedroom opens onto an expansive balcony, with the clearest outlook onto the Hudson and the dramatic landscapes of the Catskill Mountains. A walk-in closet and a large bath complete the suite. Across the landing lies the guest bedroom, with a Juliet balcony overlooking the exterior meadow and woods. A sizeable walk-in closet and dressing room lead to a hidden additional storage space. The guest bath and its light-filled shower have the second-best view in the house, stretching out towards the Rip Van Winkle Bridge.

The Grounds
The 12-acre grounds at Riversmeet are exceptionally well cultivated. An exquisite gunite pool with a stone patio for loungers is lined with mature hydrangea bushes and looks out onto the river. The bluestone dining terrace wraps around the front of the house and rests above the grassy knoll that unfurls gently below. Through the woods is a series of trails leading to a lookout deck, a striking ridge, and the banks of the Roeliff Jansen Kill, offering easy access to the Hudson for kayaking and boating.

Completely private and lost amidst its own peaceful landscape, Riversmeet is still just minutes away from some of the Hudson Valley’s most beloved towns. The property is less than 5 minutes from Germantown, 10 minutes from Hudson and Amtrak, 20 minutes from Red Hook, Tivoli, and Rhinebeck, and under 2 hours from New York City.
